I was very disappointed with the quality of service displayed by the owner's wife when we came in. If it wasn't for my calm husband, I would have turned away right after hearing her unpleasant voice asking why we came. I knew how much my husband had his eye set on buying his Fedora, so I only replied that we just came in implying to give us time. I wanted to buy a hat for myself but after initial rude welcoming I changed my mind. Consequently, I don't recommend this store.

Loved my experience at Paris Hatters. Owner and daughter were very friendly and Domingo knows his stuff. Got me setup with a beautiful hat. Thank you!

My wife and I were traveling. We stopped into the store. Admittedly we both looked a little rough after driving almost six hours. We were in comfortable clothes for driving, so not necessarily dressed up. I saw three hat bands and one very nice hat that interested me. There was an older gentleman, I’m not sure if he was a salesman or the owner, but he was doing nothing. After waiting at least 30 minutes to be helped, my wife approached a young lady that worked there. She told her we were interested in three hat bands and a hat. When she asked my wife which hat, the young lady referred us to the older gentleman. We showed him the hat bands we wanted, and then asked about a 1000x Stetson silver belly. He looked us both up and down and told us it was a $5,500 hat, and turned around like we weren’t worth his time. I’m fairly well off, and am pretty sure my Amex could buy at least half the store, if not the entire store. I know I had enough credit in my pocket to buy the entire store if I wanted to. I wanted to buy the hat just to spite the old codger, but my wife told me he might be the store’s owner, and why should we reward him. I’ve since commissioned a custom made silver belly made to my heads shape by one of the best hatters in the country. If this guy is a salesman, he should be fired. If he is as I expect, the owner, then shame on him. I’m a business owner myself, and I hate negative reviews. I’d never leave a negative review unless th e service was just horrible, and the only reason I’m doing it now is I suspect the older gentleman that dealt with us wasn’t a salesman, but the owner of the store.

Wanted to come in and get a fun hat for GF and myself, but couldn’t get past the horrible manners of the staff. Right when you enter they complain about touching or looking at hats and never try to help. Hands down they made the shopping experience the most awkward in my life. There is a nice hat store in the North Star mall where the staff was great and helped us select two great hats. Avoid Paris Haters, unless you like being treated poorly.

Visited Paris Hatter’s to purchase a hat for our wedding. When we walked in, the vibe in the store was very cold and unorganized. Myrna, the owner’s wife, was extremely unpleasant. She acted very irritated and short with us. They claim to have the largest selection in Texas - however only had 3 choices for a felt silver-belly. One, of which was the specific color we wanted- the others were mocha/charcoal. We felt like we were at a repo car lot with new car salesmen. They weren’t interested in a relationship, only a making sale. We ended up leaving when the owner called my fiancé “rude,” for simply checking the price and styles at another store. As a former small business owner myself, I couldn’t imagine treating customers the way we were or have read in the multiple reviews below. We ended up driving down to Herb’s Hats and it was the best decision! We were greeted with smiling faces, excellent customer service and ended up purchasing two hats! It was wonderful to watch them know their customers by name and see that they genuinely cared! Save your time, frustration - and the parking meter fees …

My goal was to find a hat that suited my face shape and complexion, and Alex went above and beyond to help me realize that dream. Paris Hatters is a small, family run establishment whose business is taking the time to help their customers choose the right hat and then customizing it to suit them perfectly. If you're not interested in waiting your turn or you believe you can act stupid, taking selfies of yourself in their stock, you shouldn't walk in the door because you won't be happy. But... if you want personalized service and to walk away with the perfect hat, set aside the time to experience Paris Hatters. They obviously take pride in what they do because Alex took a lot of extra time with me, explaining how to care for my new hat and what to watch for in keeping it looking its best. I absolutely love my new hat and can't wait to wear it... Oh, be sure to take time to try on multiple bands because they completely change the look! I bought two feather bands and a black leather one embellished with silver and gold medallions. Again, thank you, Alex, for an amazing experience!

My wife and I have purchased several hats from Paris Hatters over the years and we've introduced many a friend to this iconic haberdasher as well. Don't be put off if you get a weird attitude at first. Hang in there and wait for an owner to take care of you. It's well worth it as the hat quality and selection is unsurpassed.

This hat shop really is beyond compare to any other shop I have ever visited. It's 100% an experience and not just a shopping trip. I love that they have hats for all budgets and tastes and sizes. I got a straw hat during the height of pandemic when most other shops had none in stock and just went back for a wool western. I could not be happier! Am gonna save up for a fur hat now because that's a bucket list dream of mine. I love how well I was treated here and how customized my hat was in comparison to the real cowboy here that was buying a hat 20x the price of mine. We both got the same treatment - I love that. This unassuming shop is a gem that's one of a kind and I feel lucky to have found this place!

I knew coming to Texas I wanted a nice Stetson hat. I did not know I would be getting one from Paris Hatters. After checking out the Alamo we walked around San Antonio and stumbled into the store. Their selection was a little intimidating but all the staff were very friendly and asked if they could help. I started talking about what I would like in a hat and they assured me they could do everything on site while I waited. I ended up getting a perfectly fitted hat and they are shipping it to my house which was nice. After seeing some of the 1 star reviews I was compelled to leave this positive review. The owner had great stories I could listen to for hours the male employees demeanor is something more people need. The one star reviews come off as pompous people who think they're entitled. Shop with confidence at a store that has been around over 100 years. EDIT: My hat arrived in 3 days after purchase. Use this info if you're in town and want to ship it out. It was shipped in the original stetson box with a shipping label on it. Kinda wish it was in another box to keep the factory box in tact but that could be fixed taking it with you out of the store. Still love my purchase and waiting for the right occasion to wear it.

I’ve bought from these folks before and this time was for a friends 40th. Isaac did me right with this one. Maybe not a cowboy hat, but certainly what I thought a space cowboy hat would look like!
