Don’t sell clothes here. Was told they couldn’t take any clothes cause my bin had dirt that dirtied all my clothes. It was not true, there was sand in one section of the bin and nothing got dirtied by it. Also tell me how they went through 100 items of clothing in 15 min and chose nothing. There are way better places that will actually pay good money for your clothes.

Couldn’t take anything because “my shoes have stains on them and I don’t really know what else, that’s just what this note says”…I’m sorry, show me the stains here. The employee couldn’t even look me in the eyes and tell me this. While acknowledging the policy, at least be consistent. The clothes for sale are years old and dated..and yet, these shoes have stains on them❤️

Usually I sell to this location no problem lol but today the girl wanted to give me a hard time because my clothes “slightly smelled of smoke” - thank you so incredibly much for making me wait 30 min for that lol you smelled them when I signed in no? Lol thanks for wasting my time. I won’t be returning to this location.

I brought in some items to sell, including Lululemon pieces, Chacos (worn only five times), and several other name-brand items that your store typically accepts. When I returned to pick them up, I noticed the clothes were in the exact same order I had placed them in, suggesting they hadn’t even been looked through. I was told that my items were “dirty,” which was surprising, as I had washed everything the day before specifically to prepare them for resale. Additionally, I observed the employee reviewing items for multiple customers, and she appeared visibly displeased with nearly every piece she handled, including mine. It felt dismissive and unprofessional. Review update: After reading Timisha’s review and seeing the unprofessional response she received from the store, I can confidently say I won’t be back. The customer experience here is severely lacking and that response alone earns this place a one-star review.

Horrible place to take your used clothes. Every time I come in they say they smell like smoke. Which i come from washing them straight to them. Then u have employees smirking at you from behind the counter. I see why u guys have a 3.6 rating. Get better employees

This store is THE spot for thrifting! So many great name-brand finds, amazing prices, and the sweetest staff ever. Everything is clean, organized, and fun to browse. Every visit feels like a little treasure hunt. Highly recommend!

$35 for a used pair of sweatpants?? Crazy. Also the girl barely went through the bin I brought to sell and just threw the clothes back in without folding them.

Unfortunately, it does take one interaction to ruin the entire experience. I’ve been to several other Plato’s Closet locations, and even when they’re only taking 1 item from me they are very pleasant about it. To start, my boyfriend and I were in line for some time waiting to be rung up. I saw a lead associate (I’m assuming) call out for a specific employee to hop onto the registers. The associate took several minutes. When the lead associate saw who she called out for, she motioned her to come up. The associate rolled her eyes back and leaned her head back in annoyance. I was so turned off by her reaction. As someone who worked in retail for years, I understand the feeling, but never reacted in front of customers. I felt unwelcome by her. My boyfriend was purchasing a hoodie, and I had clothes that had been processed. I let the associate know that we had a purchase to make and I dropped off some clothes that are ready to be picked up. She obviously looked bothered to have 2 separate transactions. She very vaguely went over what items they are picking from my bag and which ones they are giving back to me. The transaction was nothing heavy duty. I don’t understand what the rush was to get my boyfriend and I out of her store was. She would continuously roll her eyes and barely spoke to us. I understand being in a bad mood at work, but I wouldn’t let my mood affect how I interact with customers for this exact reason I’m writing this review.

I brought in a full bag of clothes hoping to sell a few things. The worker told me it would be quick so I stayed in the store. My pickup was ready within two minutes. The worker didn’t even bother to look at every item and only bought one thing. I am confused because I had items in here that were barely used/ new.
