Manager thinks it's okay to yell at their employees infront of a huge line of customers! I came in for the 90% sale, the girls on staff were super polite however what seemed to be the manager came up to the register cussing at the employees and telling them they "knew damn better" Infront of tons of customers, this was awful behavior and I feel so bad for the other employees as they looked nervous around her. That is not the way retail management should ever be, do betterrr.
Get an idea of the value of your items, then cut it in half, then reduce it by 30-50%, and then expect even lessor. Have grown a bit so I decided to try and get a few bucks, came in with two large boxes of folded clothes. Items declined.... Adidas Vans Carhartt Hanes H&M The North Face American Eagle Gap 3rd-hand retail stores are stingy now?.... Waste of time on top of poor selection.
I couldn’t believe the way the manager was talking to not only her employees but the customers. I didn’t even want to buy anything because she was practically yelling at everyone. The poor girls working under her are going to think that’s how a manager treats someone and that’s truly sad. Will not be back just because of this manager, wish I got a name but honestly she scared me.
Great staff. BIG selection of nice clothing. I went there to sell a couple bags of prestine condition top brand (bebe, se7en, Michael Kors, etc) clothing. Out of the two very full large bags of washed and 150,000
Takes clothes without paying and hopes you don’t notice 😕 I took in 80 items and received 60 items back. They only purchased 14 items which means 6 items were taken without paying. I’m sure they do this often and think no one is counting or notices. 6 items is a lot if they only purchased 14 from me. Won’t be going back as many reviewers mention the manager.
I am writing to express my significant dissatisfaction with the service I received at the Lone Tree location of Plato's Closet. The conduct of your staff was highly unprofessional, characterized by rudeness and what appeared to be a sense of entitlement. During my visit, a particular staff member was observed offering assistance to other patrons. However, upon approaching my vicinity, this individual conspicuously ignored me, failing to inquire if I required any help. Despite my initial attempts to solicit assistance, which were met with apparent disregard, I proceeded to search for my desired item independently. A short while later, the same staff member again circulated the store, offering assistance to others while once more neglecting to acknowledge my presence. When I subsequently raised my voice to request assistance, she finally responded with a dismissive "Yes, what do you need?" At this juncture, I was profoundly dismayed by the staff member's behavior. As a result of this experience, I opted not to proceed with my intended purchases. I returned the items to their respective locations, expressed my gratitude for their time, and departed the store. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this establishment to other consumers.
Very disappointing experience at Plato’s Closet. I brought in several pieces of clothing that were in excellent condition and barely worn, yet they rejected almost everything without giving much explanation. On top of that The whole process felt like a waste of time. If you're expecting fair consideration for quality clothing, don't get your hopes up. them passing on perfectly good items made the experience frustrating and not worth the trip. I left feeling like they didn't value customers' effort at all. The dressing room also sucked
Went with a friend who loves going to consignment shops. There were lots of merchandise that were divided in sizes , gender, and selections. There are dressing rooms in the back right of the store on the other side of the registers. The staff were friendly and helpful. I advise you to try everything on before you buy it. They have sales so ask for them to check prices for you and ask about their big sales on the weekends.
Visited this location with my friend today and upon our arrival the manager was extremely condescending and snippy about the donation process. They were efficient with the sorting; however upon picking up, we were aggressively instructed to go to the back of the line, the manager was very rude even though we were very polite when walking in and were just confused on where to go. While in line after waiting a bit we were both mildly preoccupied as the employee at the furthest register said he was ready for us and because we didn’t hear him the manager yelled at us repeatedly and then continued to belittle us as the employee checked us out by talking badly about us to another employee. We also have always donated to other Plato’s locations and wanted to give this store a try. We always have a good idea of what they are looking for and bring it in nice and neat. They did not take any clothing that is what the manager said that they look for in donations; and our clothes were tossed into our buckets haphazardly. Not a good experience at all.Definitely will not be wasting our time at this location. Thoroughly disrespectful and a complete waste of time.
Unprofessional experience when checking out at the register. I waited for a long time (5-10 mins) to get checked out. The employee listed as “ECB” on my receipt greets me and takes my item. She doesn’t ask if I have a phone # just tells me to punch it in. I politely said “no phone number thank you” and she proceeds to tell me what it’s used for, I respond “Can I just skip the phone #” since she’s making me repeat myself but still polite. She says it’s ok and proceeds to throw the hanger really hard/loudly into the box behind her and the other employee (team leader?) sees the interaction walks past her and says “Ohh she was not happy about that” What kind of store is this? It’s where a polite paying customer declines to provide a phone # and the very young cashier throws a tantrum on the spot and the team leader recognizes it but doesn’t intervene and finds it comical instead. Just plain ghetto. Never shopping here again. Tip for the store owner: hire better young people who are professional. If chick fil-a and In-N-Out can do it, so can you
