Plato's Closet Lone Tree, CO

During my visit to this store, I noticed a distinct lack of courtesy towards me, especially apparent as I wear a hijab. While other customers received greetings, I was conspicuously ignored. The store also had an unpleasant odor, and the prices seemed excessively high. Based on this experience, I recommend exploring other shopping alternatives.

Ok, I usually donate to Goodwill, but I had 2 brand new designer purses (one Tory Birch and another Michael Kors) and a pair ladies' over the knee boots I only wore once, so I thought these clothes are too nice for Goodwill, I will take them to one of these stores. Upon walking into the store, first thing I noticed was that it looked a lot like... Goodwill! Poorly dressed (second thing I noticed) redhead at the counter said they wouldn't take my things. That's ok because Clothes Mentor just down the street took all of them. The funniest thing this gal's attitude was as if she was working at Gucci or Armani! It was laughable. No, I can't recommend this place to anyone. I wasn't selling my stuff because I needed money and if money isn't a concern for you, avoid this place at all cost.

I used to shop at this Plato's frequently then moved away. It was great, clean and they had a friendly staff. I was in the area yesterday and stopped by and wow, I have no idea what happened to the store. It was a catastrophe- don't bother looking in your size section because it's all grouped together. XS in the Large section, etc... Clothes on the ground, not organized whatsoever. I got overwhelmed after 10 minutes and gave up looking. I also did not hear a word from the staff. I had a poor experience overall which is upsetting because it used to be such a fun place to shop.

I personally love this Plato's Closet over the other Denver locations because of the staff. They are always friendly and accommodating. Not to mention, the selection here is 100x better. If you are a reseller, I would recommend stopping here before the Cherry Creek or Littleton locations. The staff at Plato's Lone Tree love and treat resellers with respect as compared to other locations I've been to in the Denver Area.

This store has a lot to choose from and staff that is friendly and helpful. Today, when I took my daughter, I made her leave. There was an unfortunate situation that we saw between an employee and a supervisor. The manager was extremely rude to one of her young sales clerks on the floor. It made it uncomfortable for us, the customers. It was the young sales clerk that tried to blow it off and make the customers comfortable. This manager, Julie?, needs to learn some people skills as well as management skills. We will not be back.

I stopped by the store after work one day to find some outfits for a vacation and the girls who worked there were so helpful! They always came around to see I needed to put things on hold for the dressing room or if I needed help finding a specific style. The place was super busy but they were very efficient. I found some amazing dresses for all my events at this location. Definitely coming here again!

Some of the staff could be more professional, comparing this location to other Plato's Closet stores we have frequented. First off, I trouble initially signing in. I was told I did some part of it wrong, and asked to correct it. I tried to clarify by asking if I needed to reenter my information, to which I just kept getting the same reply. When we were ready to purchase some items, I went up to the front, and mentioned we had some items got them to look at. She told me to just get back in line. Maybe the staff was a little overwhelmed, the most professional and polite lady was working at the dressing rooms. None of our items were chosen, which is fine, as everyone has different tastes. They said "skinny jeans are not selling," yet we did not have any skinny jeans to offer. We had bootcut, and one or two relaxed fit, but in more petite sizes. Their opinion was our shoes had "wear." In truth, the majority of them had never been worn, meaning no scuff marks or wear on the bottom, and in truth, looked in better condition some shoes that were on the selling floor. This is not an emotional opinion or attack, it is simply a review based off our experience. We gladly took our unwanted items to another place, where they were gladly recieved. So, we will continue to visit and recommend other locations of Plato's Closet. Thank you.

Terrible experience! They don’t allow you to try on any clearance. How do you expect someone to buy something without knowing if it fits. Smh.

I wasn’t going to ever leave a bad review but I feel like I have to after my recent experiences here which is so so disappointing! I have both shopped here and worked here and both experiences were not the best. I was in high school at the time of working here and the owner kept me past 11pm multiple times to clean up the store even though I had school the next day at 7am which was not allowed legally and was very disappointing that she didn’t prioritize her employee’s education. The inventory is awesome which is why the store is so great to shop at and why I love to support the small business but the employees are very loudly and publicly rude with the way that they talk to each other and it makes it super uncomfortable to shop at specifically the managers to the other employees. It is not hard to be nice and mean actions don’t go unnoticed! I hope that this changes because I again, I love the prices and inventory, but it needs to be addressed!

This isn't the first time I've been at this Plato's Closet. It is the last time I come to Plato's Closet though. Anytime I come in to shop or sell. Everyone seems so unwelcoming and very rude. When I sell, myself and my mom stand over to the side and watch the buyer barely look over my items and throws it right back into the bag without thoroughly looking over my items. They can never really give me a honest legit reason as to why they didn't take my items in. Remind you that some of my items I'm selling are brand new as well. Everytime I step foot into Plato's Closet they treat me as if I'm a criminal and like I'm worthless and beneath them. It's giving prejudice because I'm an African American. If I could give Plato's Closet a zero rating I would. Don't shop or sell here if you're black. Plato's Closet has the audacity to not want to buy brand new items, but there has been plenty of times I've went to try on clothes and seen yeast infection stains in pants/jeans. Seen blood stains inside pants/jeans. They have dog and cat hair on everything. Dust falling from the ceiling. This place is a sad JOKE. Somebody call the health department.
