This was my first trip to Potbelly. Outside they had a big advertisement for shakes. No one acknowledged me and my husband when we walked in or went to different parts of the counter. There were 3 people behind the counter and they were all so busy talking to one another or playing on their phone I couldn't get a word in. When we finally did get a staff member's attention they acted like we were inconveniencing them for being there. We ordered two sandwiches and when we asked about shakes they told us they are out of milk. I thought it was odd they had advertisements for shakes everywhere but didn't make a sign they were out of milk, which makes me wonder if they just didn't want to make it. When another customer mentioned there was no ice in the soda machine and it's very hot out today one of the staff members snapped back that it's "too hot for the machine to make ice today" which is ridiculous considering every other air conditioned business has no trouble making ice despite the outdoor temperature. I thought it was peculiar that this place was empty for a popular mall area but after the poor customer service and lack of ingredients it all made sense. The sandwiches were good but not enough to go back to this location.
Stopped in for a quick bite while on the Plaza. The staff were awesome--super friendly and efficient. The skinny turkey sandwich and chicken pot pie combo hit the spot on a cold day! I loved that the pot pie soup had both crust mixed within that was still bready (not soggy), as well as dry crust crumbs on the top!
The broccoli and chicken pot pie soups are excellent, Thank You!
I typically get delivery here and while it's slow, the food usually makes up for it. Today I got the wrong order and when I called in the General Manager, Rick, said he would make our order and deliver it to us. This was at noon so I specifically asked how long it would take, and he said 20 minutes. 30 minutes later I called and he hadn't left because they 'got a line'. If they'd just refunded my money the first time I wouldn't be making this review, mistakes happen. But as a GM you should know better than to make promises you can't keep during the lunch time rush.
I normally love grabbing a quick bite here with my sister. It has become tradition for us. We absolutely love the food. Sadly My view point has definitely changed. The customer service was horrible! I get it. Everybody is entitled to have a rough day. This was just down right disgraceful! We try to stay very joyful and happy people. After that experience we have decided to never go back to that location. I’m very disappointed in the way the team carried their selves. Also for some old reason they decided to close 30 minutes earlier then usual.
Thank you to Mathews who showed top notch customer service. My family was at the plaza hospital and him hearing that he paid for our whole meal. A couple days later I walked in by myself (I haven’t meet him up until this point) to pick up a mobile order. They said that the system was malfunctioning and they didn’t have my order. I was obviously frustrated but Mathews went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. I don’t write Google reviews and honestly my experience wasn’t that great until I got his help. Thank you.
Had the Meatball and Tuna Salad. Great tasting sandwiches. Bread was nicely toasted, crunchy on the outside but still soft on the inside. Plenty of marinara on the Meatball and perfectly caramelized onions. Great friendly service too and the decor is nice. Would recommend.
They need to prepare better for their location or just close altogether. Due to a catering, the young ladies had to male over 700 sandwiches, so no sandwiches were being offered in shop. Not just sandwiches, no soup either, AND they didn't have all the ingredients to make what they could offer (farmhouse salad). I didn't even order anything. At least for the day, they should close until they can stock back up.
We didn't even get to try the food. Waited 20 minutes in line, employees were short and unkind. By the time we got to pay, the person checking us out tried to charge us for a big sandwich when we got an original and then took our sandwich back to remake it and told the employees to remake the wrong sandwich. We just left- not a good experience at all
My soup was very good although mostly broth. However my blta sandwich the bacon was literally burnt crispy and did not have onions as requested so sort of frustrating and the burnt bacon made the sandwich pretty much not edible it tasted so burnt
