I add a carpool parking to my leas on 16/12/2025 for 25$ extra a month since that day I always find a car parked in my spot, I contacted the office to find a solution for that issue but nothing was done. The car still in my spot until now I parked in my spot only four or five times the other car still in my spot and they asked me to pay the parking without removing the car after 7 notifications sometimes they say they’re out or weekend they can not do anything I go to work the other car leave too when I comeback I find my spot is token. They lied to me many times

Update: Since the elevators were restored less than two weeks ago, they’ve been down two more times. So since January 17th, we’ve had working elevators 11/25 days. Still no compensation given to tenants. We would have never moved here had we known about the consistent elevator issues. We have dogs and must walk up and down the stairs 3x a day. I have to carry my senior dog and it’s exhausting. Trash is piling up because valet pickup can’t take the elevators to our floor. But I’m not giving a 1 star review solely because of that, or because we can’t use many of the amenities we’re paying for (all in the basement, all a trek to get down to. Dog park hasn’t been fully functional since before Thanksgiving, dog wash station is gone, red light therapy bed doesn’t work often, coffee machine broken multiple times) I’m giving 1 star because management has made zero effort for compensation or accommodations given these issues. We’ve had to pay the full price of our rent even though we’re not getting what was promised to us. I emailed management 2 days ago about my disappointment, asking what they planned to do to make things right, and I haven’t received a response. Maybe now I’ll get one? The only positive is the location but even that isn’t worth this headache.

If you want to live in a building where you will get amazing exercise this is the place for you. Not because of their fitness room, but because their elevators never work. Call the main office to try and find a solution and they will not do anything or even care. The good news is they will also keep your hopes up and lie to you about when they will be repaired. If you like hot tubs boy do they have a treat for you. They will allow you to stare at the place where it used to be but cemented it in. Just when you think it couldn’t get any better there are constantly pipes bursting and feces leaking in the garage. I recommend if anyone wants to experience what living in a slum lord’s building give this one a go. You can’t go wrong! Also I had to post this on a review site they can’t delete. Anything posted to their social media to address on going issues will be immediately deleted and ignored.

I have lived here going on 2 years. I lived in the tall tower and also in the north building, so I can say I know the place better than most who have lived here. I've lived in luxury condo buildings in several countries for the last 15 years and I have read the very few bad reviews left on Google about this place and disagree with them strongly. I like the security, the office and maintenance staff is unparalleled (Katie and Chris are top notch), maintenance is at your door hours after submitting a ticket (shocking), parking is great I have two spots, amenities are very well kept, resident gatherings are generous (free alcohol and food) and residents are really professional in general. I think you need to have lived in other luxury condo buildings to be able to appreciate this place. Nowhere is perfect, but given my perspective this place is as close as it gets. I have had a few issues here which is normal for condo living. I had a noise issue and it was resolved quickly. I had recurring HVAC issues in my first condo here and they were on top of it. The entire building suffered issues because of COVID and it was all handled in an impressive manner. Dogs used to pee on their way to go outside commonly on the 4th floor hallway (its carpeted). They have a camera there now and fines in place and they became strict and it stopped happening. Many dogs live here because people in KC in general are dog lovers to the extreme. Why live in a condo with a big dog or dogs... beyond me. People keep their dogs on leashes and I have had no issues with dog problems or dog noise. Packages are currently delivered to your door by the internal staff. So this is a big plus because instead of packages being left in a package closet and having to dig to find your packages they are delivered. The cleaning staff has always impressed me. They are so friendly and soooo busy. This place is CLEAN. PT Coffee is right down stairs and I frequent them. The Drum Room has shockingly good food and is across the street. Walking distance (1 block) is the luxury downtown Cosentino's grocery store. I also walk one block to Marriot for Roasters coffee. Note that you are close to power and light entertainment but do not hear their loud speakers when they have concerts etc. I have seen 1 light and 2 light (main competitors which get the noise from speakers in power and light) and I would choose this place over those easily. I do not write reviews very often but this place deserves a good review from me. Kansas City is lucky to have this building and the rates, for what you get, are dirt cheap.

I have had a wonderful experience living at Power and Light Apartments! All of the residents are so friendly and respectful. This complex is extremely secure as well with security during certain hours. If you like amenities this place is for you! I have been getting lots of use out of the pool, office space, theater room, rooftop event space, gym, sauna, and hot tub! You will not be disappointed living here :)

Power & Light Apartments is such a great place to live. The property is amazing, and I love the location. The management/staff are excellent, they keep the property clean and secure. Maintenance requests are handled quickly and professionally. Of all the amenities; media room, dog park, gym, spa, podcast studio... I think the rooftop terrace is my favorite. The property is very secure, especially the parking garage, and that was the deciding factor when choosing Power & Light Apartments. The neighborhood is great, lots of food and entertainment within walking distance. With all the views, amenities, and location it really is like living at a resort.

Firstly, the persistent elevator malfunctions in the building have been a recurring issue since my move-in date. Specifically, the 13th floor and below have consistently had limited access to elevators, with only one operational at many times. Instances of elevator breakdowns have been documented on the following dates: 8/31/23, 9/13/23, 9/29/23, 10/26/23, 11/1/23, 11/9/23, 11/10/23, 11/11/23, 12/2/23, and 1/3/24. As of 1/17/24, there are currently no functioning elevators to my apartment, and the parking garage elevator is also out of service. Furthermore, the constant buzzing noise from all elevators during the first four months of my tenancy has been extremely disruptive. These incidents highlight management's inability to maintain the elevators. Moreover, the garage door has been broken and left wide open on 9/29 and has been broken again since 1/9/24. During this time, the key fob reader to access the tower sky bridge from the parking garage has not been functioning, posing a significant security risk. Anyone can walk into the garage from the street, and have access to everyone's vehicles, the entire North Building and the entire Tower. The parking garage has water leaking consistently throughout the entire year onto peoples cars. Each winter the same pipe seems to break. The coffee machine, a very frequently used amenity by many residents, broke on 12/29 and took over two weeks to repair, causing inconvenience to residents. The condition of the indoor dog park has been subpar since 11/29. There has not been sufficient effort to minimize the effects of the ongoing work in that area. The air conditioning has failed on 9/3/23 and 10/6/23, both days with temperatures exceeding 90 and 70 degrees, respectively. Disturbing incidents, such as vomit in the lobby, hallways, and common areas, along with consistent pet waste in hallways, elevators, and walkways, have contributed to an unsanitary living environment. The trash system has been problematic, with dog poop bags consistently overflowing the bin outside the front doors. There are inconsistent valet trash pickups. I have received multiple trash tickets for alleged violations that are baseless, such as "pet waste not double bagged" (I do not have any pet waste in my garbage) and "leaving my trash outside during non-pickup hours." My trash was left outside during non-pickup hours because Valet Trash did not pick it up. They recently opened a podcast room (spending money on this, rather than fixing issues we were already experiencing) and the trashes in here are consistently overflowing as well. The Wi-Fi and AppleTV in the newly opened podcast room do not work either. Additionally, amenities such as the poolside TVs do not function as advertised. There are speakers and a sound system provided at the pool; however, we are unable to use it as residents living poolside come out quite literally yelling about its use. Residents moving poolside should be made aware that they may need to accept these matters before signing a lease. Last, I would like to highlight the lack of urgency in communicating situations occurring in the building. On 1/17/24, the elevators were down for well over 3 hours before residents were notified about the issue. Despite my personal call to the leasing office, residents did not receive communication until an hour later. The leasing office consistently promises to "provide updates" on situations, but we rarely receive follow-through on this commitment. We have older residents who are not physically capable of walking up and down the stairs living in the apartment and I am concerned about their wellbeing. The cumulative impact of these ongoing issues and disruptions to the amenities promised as part of my lease agreement is reflected in the diminished quality of living. I am hoping the building takes swift resolution that will contribute to a more comfortable and enjoyable living environment for all residents. Sadly, I am not hopeful that this will happen based on the lack of urgency I have seen from property management so far.

I can't say enough positive things about Power & Light Apartments. Since our move in last summer, we have fallen in love with this place. From the amazing amenities, beautiful architecture, and location downtown, to the wonderful staff and fun social events they provide to their residents; this place is everything we expected. The rooftop beacon lounge has some of the best views in the city with a beautiful common lounge. The basement can keep you entertained for hours from watching shows in the media room, working out, or hanging out in the spa/sauna. And easily the nicest pool downtown, hands down. This building is also pet friendly, with a great gated park for the pups to socialize and do their business. Management is always extremely friendly, responsive, and handles any questions/concerns promptly. Maintenance and security are the nicest and most helpful guys around. If you're considering moving downtown, you'd be foolish not to consider here. Also as a side note, take all of the negative reviews with a grain of salt, seems pretty obvious that a lot are from competing apartments. If they mention how great the other luxury apartments are downtown in their review, or talk about it being too noisy in the heart of a major city (you live downtown??) it's pretty obvious. Thanks for being amazing!
