Power & Light Apartments

Current resident at the P&L Apartments. It is the ideal luxury living space with beautiful apartment spaces, top notch amenities and is right in the center of everything happening in KC. All the staff members are incredible too including office staff as well as maintenance team. Facilities are always kept clean. There are assigned parking spots in the garage that is completely covered, a must in the downtown area especially during winter. Best part is the 360 degree view at the top of the building, which is part of the communal space. There are frequent resident events hosted here. I feel so welcomed coming home and you can too! Best place to live in downtown KC without feeling fake like some other places around.

The staff and maintenance VERY ATTENTIVE and EFFICIENT. Chris always made sure the task was complete and completed correctly. He is all for the residents. But hands down, Ralph their security guard is awesome!! He helped me move back in Aug 2020. Ralph was personable and easy going but did his job to the T. The pricing was fair especially w/ all the amenities that are included such as 15 spots guest parking. I compared to the other luxurious apartments in KCMO and P&L Apartments offers way more: sq ft: pricing, personal garage pickup at your door, dog park, pool, hottub, sauna, pet of the month, varies events for residents monthly, media room, study room, and gym. Now that I have moved to Minneapolis, I miss the treatment from P&L Apartments. The apartments are very nice and well kept. I stayed in the north building on 6th floor. I had super tall ceilings, the place was ventilated appropriately. My neighbors were great. Honestly at times I felt like I lived in the apartment complex alone b/c I never heard a sole, the walls are thick. I referred a friend to this apartment complex, she lives in the tower building but she loves it too. In the Tower they usually have elevator issues but P&L Apartments are prompt to fix these issues. I did not really experience elevator issues in the North building. Overall I HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you plan on living downtown Kansas City, MO!

I absolutely love this historic building that is an icon and beacon for Kansas City. The team at Power and Light go above and beyond. The amenities are outstanding. They just added this amazing convenient fresh market that is a game changer. While a 100 year old building can have its challenges, especially in ridiculously cold weather, the team handled it with grace and professionalism. If you have any doubts of if this is the most amazing place to live downtown, just go and ask to be brought up to the Beacon Lounge on the 31st floor. The views are breathtaking and the gathering space up there makes me so proud to be a part of this amazing building.

You will not find better views, better amenities or a better downtown living experience in Kansas City than the Power & Light Apartments. All that being said, what sets them apart is the staff - both the office and maintenance team are professional, responsive and just all around great people. Having experienced the opposite elsewhere, throughout the city, I can tell you, it makes all the difference.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience during the application process. Based on how my application was handled and the interactions I had with staff, I was left with serious concerns that I was not treated fairly. The lack of transparency regarding the denial and the way communication was handled left me feeling that race may have played a role in the decision. Everyone deserves a fair and equal opportunity when applying for housing. Unfortunately, my experience did not leave me with confidence that the process was conducted fairly. Because of these concerns, I would not recommend this property.

My Power and Light KC Apartment is my Happy Place! I live in the Historic Tower and it's incredibly quiet and peaceful. There is no noise from neighboring units or from those above. Very minimal noise from the street. It's like being wrapped in a cocoon! Incredible security; I always feel safe here. The Leasing Office staff is above Top Notch! Maintenance is incredibly responsive and friendly. The building really is a community! Incredible amenities; how much you take advantage of is up to you! Steps away from the Sprint Center, restaurants, nightlife, and shopping. Whether you're an introvert at heart, or the most extroverted socialite, this will be your Happy Place!

This community is amazing. Aside from the beautiful architecture of the tower, the glamour of the North Building, and the incredible amenities - the staff really make you feel at home and are willing to help you with whatever you need. They respond quickly through phone or email, but it's also easy to just stop in the office. The cherry on top is the maintenance crew - these guys are hands down the best I've every worked with. They are friendly, respectful of those that work over night, and really just a joy to pass in the halls. Recently they were awarded as Best Maintenance Crew in the city and they deserve it!

The leasing agents at the power and light apartments were absolutely fantastic! Right from our first conversation, they made us feel like a valued part of the community. They listen to all of our questions and went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and informed every step of the way.

The building is beautiful and in a prime location downtown with a grocery store a block and a half away and bars and restaurants surrounding the building. The decor is luxury feeling and the amenities are nice to have. Leasing office staff are friendly and prompt in response and everything regarding rent and maintenance is done online. There have been some issues regarding elevator maintenance for longer periods of time but I believe this was circumstantial. Great apartments.

I am obsessed with this apartment building. It captures Kansas City history with art deco aesthetics at every corner. I love, love, love the dry sauna and indoor spa area. The location can’t be beat either as you are in the heart of downtown kc! Highly recommend finding a unit here if you’ve been looking. Nothing but good vibes and great amenities!
