Hands down, worse stocked store Safeway owns. I even put the Othello store way above this store. I guess people are afraid to work at this store. I know they certainly don't like to stock everyday or even every other day. They stock once a week, that's it.
I swear every time I visit here, even for usually only about a dozen things at a time, there is always at least 1 item i pull off the shelf that is clearly damaged (smashed or broke) or expired. Nothing like finding a 6 month expired mayo jar, or grabbing milk to discover the handle is broken and leaking, or going for chips to find the bag deflating from a hole. Every, single, trip. And the store just doesnt care. They know theyre one of the only reasonable priced places in the area so they just get away with selling crap like this.
I’ve been shopping at this Safeway for over a year, and while management often posts reassuring responses to negative reviews about improving store quality and addressing issues like the urine-soaked parking garages, the reality still falls short. There are many opportunities for improvement, and frankly, better neighborhood options exist that we should all consider exploring. Where you spend your money matters.
Got their Chinese Food and the guy packed it-shoutout to him. I liked their Korean beef and their sesame chicken was okay. Moreover, the chow mein was comparable to panda express. Not the best food for your stomach, and obviously it’s not authentic chinese food (technically it’s authentic chinese american food) but I still appreciate it for its affordability and bulk portions. It for sure hit the spot, but definitely did not sit well in my tummy. Also after eating so much it felt like something was coating my tongue; it probably was the msg.
Of course everything is good at safeway! Even though it was a peak shopping time the lines moved smoothly and the cashier was very nice and efficient
Come on Safeway, nobody likes locked freezer cases. I decided not to buy any seafood instead and bought my frozen shrimp at H mart because they don't lock their freezers. There's not even a call button in sight of this case. Be Better.

The manager and 99% of the employees are incompetent. Not helpful Ever! Just went in and they had no one available to help with a bouquet I bought. One employee was looking at me like she is lost, and all she was saying was I don’t know and I cannot. Another one showed up, same story. Finaly the manager came, even worse. If they cannot cut some brown paper and wrap flowers, what note is to be expected. Extremely rude and nothing to compare to Trader Joe’s staff. Joke!
I go here to charge, EV. ONLY if you can put a $75 deposit, pricing isn't so bad for charging though. It just takes a long time. You're allotted two hours to charge or you may be fined. Bring a mask, the urine is pretty strong in the parking area.
The unsanitary conditions of the parking lot are so bad that I've filed a food safety report with the state. The smell is bad enough, but the standing water you have to wade through to enter the store is disgusting.
