I have been coming here for quite some time. And never had a problem until recently, I've noticed a lot of people that are coming to the Safeway garage, just for Pokémon machine and not to shop at Safeway, they are also becoming a bit of a hazard standing and making a line at the pokemon machines. I come to this Safeway because it's a private garage and I'm seeing more and more people be allowed inside even sometimes hang around inside the garage.
Who does quality control at this Safeway? The past few times I visited (as it’s the closest grocery store) I have purchased fruit that was not fresh (smelled awful when I opened the package)!!! Also, when I walk down the aisles, I find molded food and outdated meat! See the photos and comparison of the two meats! The homeless thieves make it uncomfortable to shop here! I witnessed a lady walk in, fill her bag and walk straight out without paying. Homeless people live in the parking garage. I drive all the way to Ballard’s Safeway when time permits even though this store is less than two minutes away!
Parking and charging area has a very strong urine smell. Charging is not Free. Someone posted that the charging your car is free. It's Not.
Small struggling Safeway store still too close to downtown to avoid the inevitable Seattle homelessness crisis and without enough shelf and storage space to maintain popular fresh items through the weekend. The store is most definitely an asset to Lower Queen Anne, but if you are after something fresh in high demand and it is after 5pm, you usually have to go up the hill to the Upper Queen Anne store to get it.
Absolutely unacceptable customer service. I asked to use the restroom because it was an urgent situation, and the staff refused without showing any empathy or offering any alternative. Treating customers with such a lack of basic human decency is incredibly disappointing. A grocery store should value respect and compassion, not make people feel embarrassed or ignored. I won’t be returning, and I hope management seriously addresses how customers are treated. If there was zero star in google review, I would go for it.
The nicest and most supportive store director works here. This store is absolutely beautiful and clean every single time I’ve visited. Top three best Safeway in Seattle.
Disgusting store. It reeks of all kinds of smells. Offers decent choices for groceries but there are better grocery stores out there that are more hygienic. There are shady folks outside the store and the produce usually sucks. Edit: The parking lot smells like urine. Honestly would rate it zero stars if the app allowed it
Item prices are reasonable and same as other Safeways. Deli items are fresh and affordable. American Chinese is tasty. I loved the glazed buffalo chicken wings very much, juicy and tender.
Bad experience at the customer service counter here. The staff were really disrespectful and talked to me in a way that felt rude and unprofessional. It honestly made me not want to come back. Safeway should work on improving how their customer service team treats people.
This Safeway is filthy. The garage has an unbearable stench of urine, feces, and vomit. There is trash throughout and grime caked on the pavement. The stock of the store is poor, and management seems to be oblivious or without care.
