They got rid of the grilled chicken option for made to order sandwiches, which was my favorite :( I didn’t know until they were mostly done making the sandwich and looked at me really confused when I asked why the chicken wasn’t on it. They were just going to give me bread, cheese, and lettuce. I had asked for grilled chicken sandwich initially and they said ok… I don’t know why they didn’t just tell me before. you can tell this location just doesn’t really make sandwiches often because the vegetables look old and the person always seems confused every step of the way when I order. I also love their breakfast burritos but sometimes its hard to flag someone down to get one made. The produce in this store isn’t the freshest. Sometimes here and there the bagged salad will be expiring that day at no discount, so check exp dates. But otherwise it’s kept clean, organized, and the staff are generally pretty nice.

I've been shopping here for seven years. Between the homeless people and one specific self check-out clerk I don't know what's worse. I can ignore the homeless people, but when I acknowledge and talk to a clerk I would expect some response. What little customer service could be applied is ignored completely by the same clerk. He was working today 4/8/25 at 2:59pm exactly. I am constantly disappointed when being "helped" by this clerk. You can tell he hates his job.

Absolutely atrocious customer service and security. There is a gentleman at self checkout who cracks inappropriate jokes when checking ID for alcohol (or claims my passport card is not valid ID) and another one who is flat out rude and doesn't explain what he is doing when he approaches you. Non-alcoholic beverages like NA beer still trigger ID check...? I expect clearer and more professional communication without jokes or bullshit at the businesses I have to engage with. They also price gouge on items unnecessarily (eggs for example, Met Market doesn't on the other hand). Unfortunately they have the best prices for many other staple items in the neighborhood so I have to come here to avoid spending an arm and a leg on groceries (in combination with other stores because apparently you can never one stop shop in Seattle).

They have a great selection, but the prices killed it for me; they were not reasonable at all.

My friend and I went to Safeway and when we purchased our food they wanted to get handsy and take the food that we bought away from us and proceeded to state that if we tried to retrieve the items that we've bought that we can get a felony. They didn't give us proof of their assumptions that we've "stolen" the items, but immediately just laid hands on my friend and aggressively take the items away from us and told us to leave. In their policy they aren't allowed to do that nor are they legally allowed to do that. This Safeway is VERY aggressive and should get all new staffs.

The PHARMACY IS TERRIBLE - the staff are not helpful, dismissive, and rude, medications do not get filled upon receipt (you have to call and push them along the filling process), and they NEVER answer their phone.

Drive up and go spots are ALWAYS filled with unoccupied cars on the weekend. This leads to slower pickup orders because the store employees have to come into the garage to find me. Management seriously needs to do something about this. It is a simple fix! Move the drive up and go spots into the garage, or start ticketing unoccupied cars using the drive up and go spots.

Love we can take our dog for a quick errand. Perfect opportunity for training but also convenient when you literally just need toothpaste. Security is nice at the front door and they don't feel "in your face" like some other places lately. Organized and usually well stocked. Meat is always a great price here and sales are good and often.
