I am so grateful that they are open late but the security and Safeway team hassled me tonight. I came in and they had a great deal on Shredded Wheat and so I got 10 of them but the guy who decided to "assist" me at self checkout charged me for 13 of them. I would not have realized this mistake but the security guy when I'm leaving looked at my receipt and said I do not see the cereal on here and so I looked and pointed at Post me he said oh yes and then it's times 13. I realize later that I only got 10 of them so they owe me three more shredded wheats! Safeway or security team whoever you are you owe me 3 shredded wheats. then I'm taking the cart out to my car and The wheels lock up. Unfortunately the security guy was too busy looking at his phone to help me drag the cart with non-moving wheels to my car. Maybe if the security team got off their phone and got to know the people outside and helped people instead of ignoring them and harassing them the store would get five star. Because they're open late they get some stars but Safeway please give me my money back or give me 3 more shredded wheats.

Would give it NO STARS bc I was LIED TO, by Kenzie. She wasted my time, money , and life. I will never get over this until I’m in the ground.

From Jefferson with no staffing straight to Lovejoy and their money order doesn’t work either. Off to the third Safeway for the day to see if someone can manage a money order

This place is okay, but the crazy customers cause unending chaos that runs employees ragged. I live nearby and am usually in there twice a day. Daily I see - security running after shoplifters, or people in the aisles stashing merch in the variety of stolen luggage, baby carriages, and push carts. - terrible-smelling people blocking the entrances with their dripping bags of cans to trade in for $0.10 each - beggars- the “regulars” are harmless but other threaten violence with a string of profanities when you turn down their request for change or ignore them A dude got his brains blown out a few weeks ago in the produce section. He was holding a naked woman hostage with a large knife. She ran into the store to escape and he followed. See empty berry aisle picture! I’ve seen someone pissing in the aisle I’ve seen people master-bating more than once I’ve been followed to my building more than once (both times near their closing time) I’ve see random vandalism “just cause” This doesn’t happen in Texas. Where are the police?

Quit adding these stupid barriers to grocery stores. I don't feel safer, i feel annoyed. This barrier will prevent me from spending money here. It's highly effective at that.

Been using the self checkout for years with way over 15 items yet for some reason they want to force me to goto a checker.. I could see if I was known for stealing sure but I spend hundreds of dollars a month here why you gotta discriminate against me I just wanna mind my own business and get outta there. Mind you I've used self check out many times with more items than I had today. In front of the same person that sent me to a checker. Really makes me wanna take my money back to fred meyer...

Dustin was so professional and thoughtful with my drive up and go order. He went above and beyond. I was so happy that he followed precisely and I would definately request and recommend him!!! Thank you Dustin!

Rudest staff, I've ever met, not a single actual cashier in the place, the cashier that was working the self checkout, snatched money out of my hand as I told him not to and proceeded to do whatever he was doing i did not receive all my money back.Nor was I able to finalize my transaction, which ended up with me not getting any supper tonight, just got off work.All I wanted to do was get food so thank you Safeway for the trashy business. Yall need to retrain this guy in the photo about not trying to bully people.I'm 5ft 100 lbs hes woaf .What was being in my personal space Going to solve Can't wait till y'all shut down.

A Deep Thank-You to the Lovejoy Safeway Team I’m a 62-year-old man living in Portland with my dog, Birdie. It’s just the two of us. No family nearby, no real friends to gather with, and most holidays, it’s easier to pretend the day is just like any other. I’ve grown used to going without the big Thanksgiving feast — the kind that fills a home with warmth, even if only for a night. But this year, something different happened. I called the Lovejoy Safeway, not really expecting much. I spoke with a gentleman named James, and I explained my situation — honestly, more openly than I usually do. Without hesitation, he listened. And he cared. He connected me with Brad from the deli department, and Brad went above and beyond. He arranged a full Thanksgiving dinner for two. One for me… and one for Birdie, my constant companion. Because of their kindness, Birdie and I won’t be spending Thanksgiving empty-handed this year. Instead, we’ll sit down to a real meal — one that reminds us we’re not as alone in the world as we sometimes feel. Thank you, James. Thank you, Brad. Your kindness reached us more than you know.
