Francisco of Wells Automotive Service was very nice, polite and excellent in assisting us with our dead battery. He also kept us updated of his ETA. I highly recommend Francisco and this towing company for any road side assistance and emergencies.
ABOVE & BEYOND SERVICE ! My car stopped and when Wells tow service arrived- my car started right up🤦🏽♀️…NICK , the driver of the tow, laughed with me and had me take down his number just in case my car stopped again in route to the mechanic… AND IT DID… I called Nick and he came back to the rescue with no complaints. He also reassured me that the mechanic I was towed to was LEGIT & I was in good hands.
Car wouldn't start due to the cold and me leaving a light on in the car. Was about -7 and feeling like -27. The tow truck operator was nothing but professional, friendly, courteous, and stayed with me until we got it started. Explained why it happened, ways to prevent it, and advice on how long to keep it running for a charge. Again the guy really great, would give 20/10 if possible.

This business employs a reckless truck driver. PM rush hour, 6/2/26, northbound on Milwaukee at Chicago/Ogden - driver of a Wells Auto Service tow truck didn't want to wait at the red light, so he illegally drove into the opposing lane of Ogden, and circled counterclockwise around the traffic island. Further up Milwaukee, he didn't want to wait in the correct traffic lane to turn right onto Elston, so he passed them on the left and then turned onto Elston against the "do not turn right" red arrow. I would not recommend calling one of their trucks, you might get hit by it.
Subaru Roadside Assistance dispatched Wells Automotive to me when my battery was dead (super dead). The tech arrived in the early portion of the estimated window. He was efficient, educational, and a in a great mood. I will be contacting Wells directly next time I need service.
Battery died while downtown. Called StateFarm and they sent out roadside assistance from Wells Automotive. Arthur was amazing. Tested our battery just to confirm it was dead. Tried to jumpstart but it wouldn't go. Tried offering some money saving tips but we just wanted a new battery right there and he was able to provide honest and professional service! Highly recommend Arthur. Thanks for turning our crappy situation into a great customer experience!
🚫🚫🚫AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COST🚫🚫🚫 Absolute nightmare. Charged $725 for an overnight tow hold, then hit us with an unexpected $200 fee when we arranged our own tow to release the vehicle, because they require the drivers to have workman's comp. To make matters worse, the vehicle wasn't even at the payment location, requiring another 10 minute drive. Zero transparency and outrageous. Predatory fees and poor communication. An insane $200 charge that wasn't disclosed upfront. ***Paid the extra $200 to allow the tow driver to be able to pull the vehicle off the lot, and when we were in progress a driver harassed and started yelling at the tow driver that he wasn't supposed to be in the yard. RIDICULOUS! The process was confusing, inconvenient, and felt designed to squeeze every dollar possible.
