the multiple times I have gone here they try to get me to pay an arm and a leg and then I go somewhere else and get the same thing done for half the price. super condescending over the phone and only compounded the frustration to already frustrating car issues. do not recommend.
I just wanna give Recognition to Salvador Ruiz, he towed my jeep tonight, very fast service less than 20mins he came, I really appreciate his service, very professional, very caring about my situation, my jeep leaked a pool of oil and it was dangerous to drive it. But I really appreciate Salvador for his assistance, he came to my rescue.
Wells Automotive continues to be the best, fastest, and most honest repair service in Chicago. They were able to take my car with a nice tire puncture and have it repaired (not replaced) in less than 30 minutes with no attempts to upcharge or oversell. Great service as always, cannot recommend them enough.
I had my car towed. They took care of me. The problem resolved. I will be driving my other cars here for service. A hour drive, sure but to find honest service, worth it.
The customer service was great they explained to me the best action to take with my vehicle and didn't try to rip me off fixing something that I may not need so they checked the car and found out the root cause and fixed it and the service personnel Frank was a stand up perfestional
One of my customers had a vehicle brought to me for service using this tow company. Driver was VERY unprofessional, rude and started yelling in the front lot in front of my customers. He was upset that I wanted him to put the car in a spot, rather than drop it in the middle of the parking lot. After continued excuses as to why it could not be done, I told him to come to the front and I would clear him a spot on the side to back into and drop the vehicle. He backed all the way around the building rather than using the entrance and still had a temper tantrum about where the car needed to go. I told him just to drop it where it was and I would get it moved. Thankfully we do not use this company ever, and I would hope someone would speak to this particular driver and his poor attitude. If anyone ever represented me in such a way, it wouldn't be for very long. Would not even consider this company for any towing needs!
Frank was a good guy. Got in same day, good pricing, honest feedback. I rarely leave reviews, but I thought you guys did great.
Absolutely uncaring and disgraceful company. They left my daughter broken down on the road in Chicago because she was on the phone with the insurance company trying to finalize a tow destination. The driver wouldn’t wait 5 minutes for the insurance company to suggest a covered repair shop and just drove off. Don’t trust this company and do trust all the terrible reviews that tell you what you will be in for using them.
Highly recommend Wells Automotive. Frank diagnosed what was likely going on with my Jeep before even seeing it. He's an expert in his craft. My car was towed to Wells Automotive on a Monday, and the team delivered top-notch service to get it back up and running within a day. It was ready for pickup on Tuesday afternoon. Frank was highly communicative each step of the way.
As soon as the guy arrived he immediately tried to charge me $350 for a new battery without even trying to jump it. It turned out that my key fob was the problem. He didn’t even bother to try and diagnose the issue once I told him I was not going to pay $350 for a battery. An absolute scam company.
