I was admitted and in the Hospital for 8 days. The nurses and doctors were excellent and kind. They also Made me feel Like I was at Home with family from how friendly they were. They were also super quick and Professional with anything they needed to do. I can’t remember all the nurses makes but every single one that cared for me Made me feel comfortable and I would take them as a family member. I would recommend with HCA Cause this was my first stay and it was absolutely amazing
Waited 3 hours past our MRI appointment. The nice people ahead of his the same. Scheduling is not rocket science. Keeping patients waiting this long is disrespectful and shows no concern for the patients .
HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center has incredible staff, brilliant doctors and very caring healthcare professionals! The quality of care is outstanding, the food and nutrition team is kind, caring and attentive, the nursing staff is very attentive and responsive to patient's needs, and the overall culture is that of patient well-being and recovery. I can't thank them enough for the kind of care they provided me during my hospitalization.
Avoid this place at all costs. The lack of communication and care is unacceptable. I’m a veteran who went in with severe pain and bleeding after being referred from a nearby ER for GI evaluation and procedure. I was admitted, placed on NPO, and told I’d be seen by a GI doctor for a procedure. Instead, I experienced delays, confusion about my care, and conflicting information from staff. Hours later, I was unexpectedly told I could eat because nothing in my chart restricted it. The GI doctor never came in person and later called to say no procedure would be done based on old records, despite my current symptoms. I was kept there only for “monitoring,” which felt unnecessary and like it was just increasing my bill. Patient Relations and staff offered apologies but no real solutions. I left still in pain and actively bleeding, with no proper evaluation or treatment. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I will be following up with my VA doctor and will not return.
My daughter has been in the hospital for a couple of days, and in incredible pain almost to where she is crying in pain. She asked the nurse ESE for pain meds at 10 cause thats when she was able to recieve them here it is at 11:30 and she hasn't gotten them. And the nurse even shut the door so she couldn't here her scream in agnoy. What kind of service is that. Is that how you treat your patients. Is that how you train your nurses and staff. Up untill her yall were some what good . Now he'll no. Yall need to do something nurse lead Charles you need to get your nurses on protocol she is suppose to remain. Comfortable.
I had double jaw surgery here last week and could not be more satisfied with my care. Everything from admission to discharge went smoothly and the nursing staff was great. Erika especially was phenomenal at caring for me and went above and beyond when I was switched into a different room that was overly warm and was not helping the healing process for me. I was extremely uncomfortable and she would not settle until maintenance has resolved the issue and reset the room temperature. 10/10 service.
Was sent to this hospital by a doctor who I had never met. I was supposed to see him at his office but his office called me while I was being driven from my home in Louisiana which is 3 1/2 hours away to go straight to the hospital and get admitted. After being admitted and spending 19 hours in the emergency room before getting a room. The doctor that I was assigned to saw me maybe for about 3 minutes the next day and the vascular team was even worse. Saw them twice in 4 days for about 3 or 4 minutes. When I asked what were the plans for treatment he said he didn’t know and wouldn’t say until some test were done. When I asked when they were going to run test he said he didn’t know that either. Test were finally done on the 3rd evening. When I inquired about my test and not being seen by the doctors only 2 times in the 4 days I was there I was being discharged. The doctor didn’t even have the decency to come tell me face to face he called the nurse and had her tell me. They never even tried to find out what was causing the problem. They just sent me home plus I had to find somebody to come get me which was not easy being 3 1/2 hours from home. Oh and by the way don’t get me started on the food at the hospital. I feel like a dog in the pound got better treatment than I did.
My husband had surgery on 2/23/26 and it lasted over 11 hrs. I was sitting in the waiting room on 2nd floor (after everybody left) and a male nurse came in. Through conversation, I found out he would be my husband’s post-op nurse. Tyrone Neary couldn’t have been any kinder and assured me that he would keep me updated. He honestly brought me so much peace, knowing my husband would be well taken care of. The following day I told my husband how kind Tyrone was and he said…yes, I remember him. He was very kind and helpful to me in recovery. We have met many nice & caring people at this hospital, but Tyrone truly went above & beyond his call of duty. Thank you, Tyrone!!!
My experience at HCA was excellent. All the staff (medical, food, cleaning personnel) were so attentive and caring. Nurse Yasamin was super. She helped clean me, shampooed my hair, changed my sheets and did great with her medical care. Ms Sherita, upper body physical therapist made therapy fun while learning how to deal with after surgery recovery. The chef's food was very appetiteing . The medical team kept me hydrated and gave me magnesium as my blood test reflected that i needed. Thank you HCA for your wonderful and professional service.
My husband had open heart surgery with a triple bypass. All of the doctors, nurses, and entire staff worked together seamlessly in a very professional, compassionate manner. I feel like they are extended family and they saved his life. If I could give them a rating higher than five stars I would. God bless all of them and thank you for all that you did for us and the others that you take care of every single day and night.
