My husband was brought to this hospital by ambulance after being referred from TopCare Minor Emergency. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The nurses only put the monitors on his fingers, checked his blood pressure, and collected blood and urine samples. His urine sample sat on the bedside table for about two hours. When I asked a nurse about it, she simply told me it was fine. My husband needed medication for severe acid reflux. We were repeatedly told they would ask the doctor, but after waiting over two hours, nothing happened. My husband finally had to get up and look for the doctor himself to request the medication. We eventually left the hospital without the doctor ever coming to properly examine my husband or explain his condition or test results. The cleanliness of this hospital was also unacceptable. It was very dirty. I have seen public hospitals that are much cleaner than this one. I was also surprised to see a nurse named Chantel working while wearing bright pink house slippers instead of appropriate work shoes. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this hospital. The lack of communication, delays in care, poor cleanliness, and unprofessional appearance made this a very disappointing visit.

The care was amazing. The only problem i experienced was that my wife was told the operation took about an hour. 3.5 hours later, as I just woke up in the recovery area, they still hadn't informed her I was even out of surgery. She was very upset, as in crying because she worried something had gone wrong. My surgery did go long. That's when someone should have spoke with her.

This was one of the best hospital visits I have had in a long time. Everyone was great beginning with my check in @ the security desk, and when I checked in on the second floor. I share the special attention that I got during the prep period It was amazing. I have a serious phobia when it comes to needles, because I have been stuck so many times, but Elizabeth put the needle right in the vein (Iv) and I hardly felt it. Gabriel was a wingless angel, so professional, took his time explaining everything to me. He was right there when I had a question, and I was so comfortable, and appreciated the are that was given. I have had several procedures in HCA,and the treatment was always the same. I have gone to other hospitals, but it was never like HCA. The world needs more caring, passionate, and humble nurses like Gabriel and Elizabeth. When anyone comes to the hospital for whatever reason, they want to know that they are in the right place, and they are going to get the best care...and I can attest that HCA is the place to go. I speak highly of my doctor(Dr. James Wilson), and his choice to do my procedure in HCA. Thanks to everyone, i'm coming along very well. God bless. Ms. Carol Bucks. :)

I was a patient for 11 days. My issue was with cleanliness: l had to request that the bed be changed, the bathroom cleaned please, clean gowns, clean towels! I assumed it would be cleaned without a request. The nurses and staff were excellent! I was on the 9 th floor. I pray my insurance starts to pay for another hospital if I should need to be hospitalized!!!

I don’t usually post things like this, but I can’t stay quiet after what we are currently experiencing. My dad was transferred from a sister hospital location with pneumonia and gallstones after already having labs and imaging completed — just to arrive here and have everything repeated with no clear communication as to why. Not once did anyone come in to thoroughly explain his ultrasound results or what the actual plan of care was. Instead, we were met with dismissive attitudes and a nurse who was incredibly rude, brushing off concerns and saying the doctor was considering discharging him — completely contradicting what we were told at the previous hospital, where admission was strongly recommended. On top of that, the condition of the facility was unacceptable. Trash left on the floor, lack of cleanliness, and an overall environment that did not feel safe or cared for — especially for someone already sick and vulnerable. Oh and don’t bother pressing the nurse button because it either does not work or they completely ignore it. What if it were an actual emergency? Also, no bandage wrap??? It took 10 minutes to find bandage wrap so he can take out my father’s IVs. I literally am baffled. This is not okay. Patients deserve clear communication, consistency in care, compassion, and a clean environment — bare minimum. Do better.

Ok well I came in thinking that my hernia had a leak. I was experiencing BAD CRAMPS. I had been holding off going thinking that it would go away by taking laxatives. Anyhow,.E.R. Dr Chen needs to brush up on his bedside manners. He wouldn't touch my hernia just to FEEL how LARGE it is. Then the discharging Dr. Mahazari forgot to call in my prescriptions. Other than that, everyone else was cordial.

I have never left a review in my life, but this experience deserves one. I’m from out of state, and this was the worst hospital experience I’ve ever had. The level of miscommunication was unbelievable — not even something you can laugh about later. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was having a panic attack. After getting blood tests and X-rays, I waited over two and a half hours before anyone came into the room. When I asked how much longer it would be, they told me they were preparing a bed for me to be admitted overnight — which turned out to be completely untrue. Then another nurse came in and, in a very unprofessional and annoyed tone, asked, “Your expectation is that you’re leaving today?” Eventually, the doctor came in and told me all my tests were fine and that I was good to go. Moments later, another staff member showed up with a wheelchair to take me to a CT scan. Even the doctor looked confused and asked, “That was him?” As someone experiencing their first panic attack and trying to understand what was happening with my body, this was an absolute nightmare. There are plenty of hospitals in Houston — do not go to this one.

M experience was good. My nurses were professional and knowledgeable. I did have a problem however I am a diabetic and I had been NPO since 830 the night before. When I woke up my blood sugar was at 80 so I asked for some food. We only have crackers and juice. My procedure was scheduled for 10 but we spent a great amount waiting for the surgeon. I had missed my breakfast and lunch. I cannot believe that they had no access to food for their diabetic patients. Crackers and juice does nothing for a diabetic patient. I had to get my husband to bring me food. Loved the security and admitting process was efficient and smooth. Dasia & Carmen A+++++
