Reviews 100
is zero possible? i ordered a pendant months ago and received the wrong item. Like others have stated, do not order from here. No phone number, bot responses... AND when you complete an online review thru their website, they don't publish them! I am ready to file a fraud claim with my credit card. WHAT. HAPPENED. I used to love them.
Cool designs but the service and communication has gone WAY downhill and I am hesitant to buy from them when I can't get an email returned in less than a week, and when I do get a response they don't answer a pretty simple question. Backordered items should have a time frame for re-stock listed on the site and then I'd have fewer questions to bother the team with. I buy products for many clients but I'm hesitant as I'm not sure how returns are going to work with the long waits on responses. Disappointing. Hope they can turn it around.
Pretty terrible customer service. I made my order almost a month ago with a lead time of 1-2 weeks and didn't hear anything till I reached out. My order is now not supposed to be shipped until almost 2 months after my order date even though the item is listed as "in stock" on the website. No resolutions offered by customer service. We'll see if my order ever actually arrives! Buyer beware.
Bought the nimbus rug that was originally $1100 on sale for $300 last fall. Thank god we didn’t pay full price, the rug sheds like crazy! Like 1/4 of the fibers have fallen out already. Schoolhouse has cute stuff, but better to use as inspiration and purchase something higher quality and more worth your money.
I was their biggest champion for a decade and am so sad to see the reviews are now true: it’s never felt more like they were acquired. They’re basically operating on scam-like levels of pricing and customer service. My in laws bought me and my husband a clock from them 2.5 years ago (when it was $399 … they’ve jacked the price for the same item to $599) and when it stopped working they gave me $59.80 back (20% of the original price). By this logic I should buy clocks from them every 2.5 years for ever increasing amounts … what a shame for a brand that used to be my number one.
I ordered a shower curtain about a month ago (Jan 3) and was told the warehouse had not been able to process it yet and that expected delivery was March 14th. Never had issues like this before. Very disappointed with a company I used to like a lot.
I ordered over 1k of product from Schoolhouse over a month ago - a light fixture and several pieces of bathroom hardware - small and simple stuff. I have since had to contact them over 5 times to get information on my shipments - all of which have been delayed. The few things that finally did arrive were in the wrong color, meaning not the color I ordered and paid for. That was several days ago - I have since been trying yet again to get in contact with them to tell them of their mistake and ask for the correct product in the correct color to be shipped to me, finally, with which they have yet to respond and make amends. Their phone number is an answering machine and they take days / weeks to respond by email. All this for a couple of small pieces of overpriced metal. I'm convinced this company is run by 2 people just constantly on vacation because the customer service has been absolutely worthless and the wait time / shipping is a total joke. This company needs to wake up and get their act together if they plan on sticking around.
Wish I had read all these negative reviews before I ordered form their site. I have been waiting over a month for my order to be shipped out. I have emailed them several times and only once received a response saying they would look into it and get back to me. Weeks later and no response. I love their aesthetic but will never order from them again.
So sad that Schoolhouse sold out to Food52, who ruined an amazing Portland company. Cannot get any spare parts anymore, which is a huge bummer. Their PDX showroom was so beautiful. I hope this is a lesson to anyone that sells a great brand to a greedy corporation. This is the end result.
Super cool spot and the coffee shop up front is great. It's expensive though, a little more than I would expect from a place like this. Staff was friendly enough and if I were looking for lighting or hardware, this would be my first stop to get ideas.
