I have USAA and they dispatched Wells for roadside assistance. It only took 10 minutes for the guy to show up and he quickly fixed my battery! Saved the day. Great communication.
I have had a decent amount of work done at Wells Automotive, including oil changes, etc. The work is always done well and within a very reasonable amount of time. Take your car there. Will not be disappointed. Frank and the crew are good, honest guys.
If I could give zero stars I would. Had my car brought in for a simple oil change. (Mind you my car drives perfectly - absolutely NO issues whatsoever. It was just time for a routine oil change). After 4 hours called to check to see if it was ready to be picked up and was informed that it needed $3600 in repairs!!!! Quite a shock since like I said - it was performing perfectly well. Was told my brakes were bad, the rear arm bushings were in really rough shape, and a turbo oil pipe was leaking heavily. Was even advised that the car isn’t safe to drive long distances (I had a weekend trip planned to Michigan). So of course I wanted a second opinion. Called another mechanic and guess what - the car has absolutely NO issues. Brakes are fine, turbo oil pipe is fine, and rear arm bushings look perfect! And to top it all off - the 2nd mechanic checked the oil (that had supposedly just been changed and filled) and the oil pan is only a little over 1/2 full. Needless to say - I’ll never go back and advise others to stay away!!!
Battery died in a parking garage and car wouldn't start. Scheduled service through driveroadside.com, and Wells Automotive Service came to my rescue. Did not love the $179 fee, but given the urgency and quick (5 min fix), I appreciate the service received.

They are unprofessional. They approve insurance requests without verification of car make/model. 1 of their employees called me to verify contact information & informed me they were 30 min away, then minutes after I get a text from my insurance saying they cant find me, I call wells back & they say "we dont tow pick-ups or anything bigger than an SUV"
Unprofessional and scammers. They will put the wrong battery into ur car & refuse to give you a refund for it. Unless you want ur car to suddenly stop working I wouldn’t do business with these frauds.
I have been taking my cars to Wells Automotive for last 6 years. Frank and his team are the smartest, most honest auto repair specialists I have ever dealt with. They always provide a prompt, accurate diagnosis and reasonably priced high quality service in a friendly atmosphere. I wouldn’t take my vehicles anywhere else. Truly a top notch experience.
To whoever was driving this truck on 10/06/2025 on the corner of Irving and Ashland. You disgusting human being, I'm bringing back public shame. You rolled down your window and threw trash out but forgot to throw yourself out as well. DISGUSTING. Don't support a business that hires this type of people.
